This course aims at providing a broad understanding of artificial intelligence, from its history and recent technological developments, to more philosophical questions about intelligence and ethics. In doing so, it adopts a perspective ‘from within’, meaning that any analysis should be rooted in a certain technical understanding of AI.
This directly echoes a recent Financial Times article, according to which:
This course aims at increasing students’ AI literacy, while also fostering their critical thinking when it comes to AI technology, devices, business models and socio-political consequences.
